Anti-HS2 online petition entries finally come to a close

April 30, 2011
You can no longer sign our anti-HS2 online petition, as Ed will send all of our online petition entries to David Cameron within the next few days. Thank you to the 22 people who did sign our online petition and the 78 people who signed our hand-written anti-HS2 petition, making a total of 100 anti-HS2 petition entries! We are delighted that we are representing Buckinghamshire and Tring and have a lot more anti-HS2 petition entries than we expected, thanks to Ben Dent, Caitlin Barratt, Edward Aboud, Andrea Aboud and Lawrence Poole. The closing date has finally come. If you did not have a chance to sign our anti-HS2 online petition, you can always sign the national campaign against HS2's online petition at http://www.gopetition.co.uk/petitions/stop-hs2/sign.html.

Ed goes on first high speed rail link to see the Gadget Show LIVE 2011

April 19, 2011
Ed, the manager of the Junior Bucks Stop HS2 Organization, went on the first high speed rail link up to The NEC in Birmingham to see the Gadget Show LIVE 2011 over the weekend. He said "The first high speed rail link between London and Birmingham only took 1hr 10 mins on the way and 1hr 30 mins on the way back. The time went very quickly and there is no good reason for a new high speed rail link. A lot of countryside had already had to be destroyed to build the first high speed rail link and a lot more countryside (particularly in the Chilterns) will be destroyed if HS2 goes ahead."
